I hate spam comments. I get a lot every day. Initially, I deleted them every day, but as time passed, I decided to just leave it alone. The system deletes them every 15 days anyway.
To give you an idea of just how much spam there is, the system has caught 879 spam comments since I started this blog. There are currently 278 spam comments in the box, waiting to be deleted.
Occasionally a spam comment evades the filter and ends up in my comments-for-moderation, where it gets deleted, of course. I’m not sure whether it has happened yet, but I’ve seen it happen on other blogs, where my non-spam comment ends up in the spam box.
So, if you posted a comment and it did not appear for 1-2 days, drop me an email to let me know, and I’ll dig through the trash for your comment and approve it.
On a side note, we’re almost at 10,000 hits to this page since it started! It should hit the 10K mark within a day or two. Thanks to all of you who visit so frequently! We scored about 1,600 hits this month.
