Today Catholic Writings celebrates its first real birthday, after coming into existence exactly a year ago. What makes today a real celebration is that in this past month, which actually has fewer days than a usual month, we hit a new record of number of views in a single month – 7,500 (rounded to nearest hundred).
This is largely due to the additional publicity we’ve received since becoming a member of St. Blog’s Parish, and having been listed in the Catholic Blogs Directory.
In addition, I have signed up for a blog in St. Blog’s Parish which will be used to give publicity to Catholic Writings, while Catholic Writings will give publicity to St. Blog’s Parish. I’ve been waiting for this day to start using my Catholic Sex Blog a bit more.
This Catholic Sex Blog will be used mainly to clarify some of the popular issues raised in this blog, especially after it’s gone through a period of refinement. It will help to explain the Catholic Church’s teachings on sex and marriage a little more clearly (I hope).
I have made the first post by rewriting this blog’s most popular post and make it more complete here.

I bet you have more “views” than your stats are recording. I notice your counter does not go up when I view your pages. Maybe you had 7,500 “visitors” but I bet you had a lot more page views than that.
That’s possible. I noticed a discrepancy in some of the stats, such as the most popular post as well. But the ‘visitors’ are actually ‘views’, according to the blog stats that WordPress.com gives. So I would supposed that the number of visitors is lower than the number of views.
Oh well…
